Women's Space
Women’s Space is a specialist gender-based violence service run by women, for women.
Women’s Space offers individual counselling, therapeutic group support and informative workshops underpinned by a trauma-informed and community-focused approach to health and wellbeing.
We utilise a feminist, strengths-based approach with a focus on advocacy and empowerment. Our team is committed to providing you with a self-directed service which assists you to discover your sense of self, discover your strengths, make your own decisions and develop your resilience.
We aim to support you to live the life you choose, develop new perspectives, access new opportunities and create sustainable social and community connections.
Women may self-refer to Women’s Space via phone, email or walk-in. Women may be referred via their supporting services with the completion of a referral form (download link).

What to expect if you call us seeking support...
1. Your call will be transferred through to a member from the First Response Team or we may call you back at a time that suits you
2. The First Response Counsellor will collect some basic information.
You do not need to share information about your experience at this time.
3. We have several programs and locations, our First Response Counsellor will link you in with the service that best suits your needs.
